| During
my travels, I have always tasted the typical food of the place where I
was and I have discovered that it is necessary to learn the culture and
the customs of a country to fully appreciate its cookery. Only learning
its history and traditions, we shall be able to fully savour the tastes
and the flavours of that particular cuisine.
A simple recipe, even if made by a great chef, will never be able to restore the real flavours we shall appreciate only after assimilating the culture of the people to which it belongs. If we shall be able to think like that people, we can assert there is not a cookery that is better than another, but there are a lot of different excellent cuisines. For that reason “Magici Sapori” does not just teach the techniques of Tuscan and Italian cuisine, but it explains the history and the origins of each recipe, so communicating the frame of mind and the knowledge that are essential to appreciate our country’s scents and flavours. Nel corso dei miei viaggi ho sempre voluto provare la cucina tipica del posto in cui mi trovavo ed ho scoperto che per apprezzarla completamente occorre prima conoscere la cultura ed i costumi di quel popolo. Solo conoscendone la storia e le tradizioni potremo assaporare in pieno i gusti ed i sapori di quella determinata cucina. Una semplice ricetta scritta, anche se eseguita da un grande chef, non potrà mai restituire i veri sapori che potremo apprezzare soltanto dopo avere assimilato la cultura del popolo a cui appartiene. Se riusciremo a pensare con la mente di quel popolo, potremo infine affermare che non esiste una cucina migliore di un’altra, ma tante ottime cucine diverse tra di loro. Per questo motivo “Magici Sapori” non si limita a insegnare le tecniche della cucina toscana e italiana, ma spiega la storia e le origini di ogni ricetta, trasmettendo così ai propri allievi quella disposizione d’animo e quella conoscenza indispensabili per apprezzare i profumi ed i sapori della nostra terra.
